KEN THOMAS PRINCIPAL
Ken Thomas spent his entire 29 year FIRST career at Eli Lilly and Company in leadership assignments associated with manufacturing and supply chain. In 1997, Ken was assigned to create and implement advanced concepts and practices of Supply Chain Management at Eli Lilly. He led the global project that for the first time defined and instituted global supply chain management at Lilly for all products and all locations. Nine subsequent years of contributions in this field include the creation of numerous global roles, tools and processes for the management of Lilly’s supply chains. In addition, he spearheaded development of technical training and career paths for global supply chain management professionals, and the creation of critical support activities for a global, single instance SAP implementation and the creation of a strategic supply chain vision.
In his SECOND career as President of Taith Group, LLC, Ken is continuing to support companies as they develop and implement superior supply chain management capabilities. He is respected for his ability to develop people, to lead teams creating strategic direction leading to execution and implementation for business results. Ken is a nationally recognized thought-leader and speaker in supply chain management, and is involved in leading edge research with academia and commercial research organizations. His current research involvement includes working with the consortium launched by the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics called MEHD Group (MIT Efficient Healthcare Delivery Group) in the role of Research Affiliate. |
