Karl’s expertise flows from a decade of consulting in organizational effectiveness and cross-functional team design; building on direct line experiences across several industries in two countries.

Karl holds a B.A.Sc. in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto and a M.B.A from Stanford University. He worked for 35 years in pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetics and agribusiness.

Karl was a member of the senior management committees of Eli Lilly in Canada and Advanced Cardiovascular Systems (ACS), Inc. in California. Among other assignments, he has been Director of Personnel and Public Relations at Lilly Canada, V.P. of Administration at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems; as well as Director of Global Compensation and Director of Human Resources for New Product Development Teams at Eli Lilly in the U.S.

Karl grew up in Latin America, Europe and North America. He is bi-lingual in English and Spanish. He has consulted to a variety of organizations in Europe, South America and North America. Karl launched LIGA International LLC in 2007. Associated with CompeteIndiana, Karl also works with Tercon Consulting, The Kaleidoscope Group and PhoenixImages.
